During the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2024, the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office is organising a high-level international conference “Intellectual Property in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”. The conference will take place in Budapest on 1 and 2 October 2024 and will focus on the following key topics: “AI, Industrial Property and Transparency”, “Enforcement in the age of AI”, “Copyright Challenges of Generative AI” and “AI-related IT Tools in IP Offices”. The presentations and roundtable discussions will explore these topics from social, economic, technological perspectives, as well as from a policy standpoint, while also covering operational and procedural questions of stakeholder organisations. It is common practice for the Member State holding the EU Presidency to organise an IP conference to provide an opportunity for high-level representatives of international professional organisations, representatives of national IP offices and other renowned stakeholders of the field to exchange views on current issues and develop professional relations.
